Kathmandu, April 7:
The Department of Drug Administration (DDA) today seized all medicines and medical equipment form a medical store — Surgical Pasal — at Mahankal near Bir Hospital.
The DDA has taken action against the store after it was found to be running without a DDA licence. Moreover, the owner of the store had not undergone DDA’s mandatory training for running a medical store. According to DDA officials, the action was taken after a thorough investigation into the matter. As the shop was not registered with the DDA and the owner, Govind Bhujel, was lacking any formal training, the department has warned him not to involve himself in such activities in the future.
