Adhikary’s turn to take potshot at Maoists
Kathmandu, December 10:
Bharat Mohan Adhikary, central member of CPN-UML, today, lambasted the Maoists of their inability to maintain peace and security in the country.
“Newly constituted special committee to integrate the Maoists combatants in the Nepal Army is still in limbo due to the Maoists fault,” Adhikary said, while speaking at the twenty fifth anniversary of Drishti, a weekly paper. He added that the performance of the government in the past four months had led to a state of confusion accusing them of not giving up their past ways of abduction, violence and extortion.
“The Maoists have to change their autocratic authoritarian approach and must accept multi-party system,” he added. He also said that progress had not been seen despite the repeated commitments of the Maoists on returning the seized properties within fifteen days of the formation of the new government.
He also accused the NC of their excessive negativism and warned of serious consequences the nation had to face if the UML, NC, Maoists and the MJF failed to build consensus.
