Aftershock jolts Valley

KATHMANDU: People in Kathmandu came out of their homes after a major aftershock of April 25 quake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted the valley and surrounding areas at around 10:15 pm on Wednesday.

According to the National Seismological Centre, the epicentre of the quake was recorded in Kathmandu district.

With this, the number of significant aftershocks of magnitude 4.0 or above has reached 354, according to the NSC records.

There was no further damage reported due to tremor till late in the night, police said.
