KATHMANDU:

The owner of the vehicle that caused the accident on Monday at Satdobato in Lalitpur agreed on Tuesday to provide the family of the killed children with Rs 400,000 for each death. The owner has also agreed to bear the cost of medical treatment of the injured person.

Pillion riders Nischal Basnet, 8, and Anushiya Khadka, 12, were killed and motorcyclist Mohan Basnet, 35, injured when the truck coming from Satdobato to Koteshwor hit the motorcycle that was also coming from the same direction. Nischal is Mohan’s son and Anushiya is his niece. Mohan is undergoing treatment at B & B Hospital.
