Kathmandu, January 8:

Students of People’s Dental College and Hospital today collected Rs 50,300 from pedestrians, shopkeepers and tourists to support the tsunami victims.

The group of some 75 volunteering students had begun the fund-raising rally from Nayabazar and went through Chhetrapati, Thamel, Newroad, Durbar Marg. They have decided to organise a fund-raising rally tomorrow.

Similarly, on Monday, the students would go to different colleges, institutions and hospitals of the valley to raise fund. The Rotaract Club of Hetauda provided Rs 11,211 to the South-East Asian Tsunami victims.
