KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday arrested a man for his alleged involvement in a theft case.

The deceased has been identified as Prem Thapa (24) of Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City-8 in Makawanpur district. Thapa was currently residing at Bagbazaar of Kathmandu.

According to police, Thapa broke the padlock to Sarita Khadgi's room in Bagbazaar and was caught while trying to flee with property including cash Rs 15,000 and various gold and silver jewelleries in the cupboard.

Police had caught him with the help of the locals.
