Am qualified to lead NC, says Prakash Man Singh
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakash Man Singh said that he was qualified for the post of NC President.
At a programme organised by Nepal Students Union (NSU) here today, Singh said that he was fit for the party's top post, adding that he had taken the charge of party's Vice-President when the NC was divided and was elected the General Secretary from the 12th general convention when Sushil Koirala was elected the party President.
"I have made lots of struggles in the party so I am competent for the party President," Singh said.
He, however, said that he would announce his candidacy only after some days though the cadres from across the country had already piled pressure on him to file candidacy for the post of party President in the upcoming 13th general convention.
On the occasion, NC Central Working Committee member Shashanka Koirala said that the upcoming general convention of the party should be made the general convention of unity.
