Anti-trafficking Day

The Ministry of Women Children and Social Welfare and 25 other organisations including Office of National Rapporteur and the National Human Rights Commission on Sunday organised a rally to mark Anti-trafficking Day, said a statement issued here on Sunday. The rally started from Tinkune, went through Old Baneshwore and converged at Maitighar Mandala.
Addressing a corner meeting, participants stressed on a need to raise awareness through concerted effort from all sectors to control trafficking. Anuradha Koirala, president of Maiti Nepal said lack of robust laws against the traffickers is putting a large number of young people at risk.
