Balmeeki campus appeals to student bodies to lift lock-out

Kathmandu, January 1:

The campus administration of the Balmeeki Bidyapeeth today appealed to the concerned student bodies to lift the lock-out of the campus they have been carrying out for over a month or else the campus administration would be compelled to forcefully break the lock-out.

“The lock-out of the office of the campus administration for over a month has created problems to those who want to get admission in new academic year and the regular students have been deprived of their scholarship,” said Padam Prasad Bhattarai, the campus chief, in an appeal addressed to the student bodies.

Bhattarai appealed to the Free Students’ Union and both the Nepal Students’ Union affiliated to NC and NC-D to lift the lock-out by Sunday evening or else the campus administration would be compelled to break it any time.

Police had arrested Bamdev Adhikary, Saroj Khanal and Pradeep Marasini on December 29 and charged under public offence act. The FSU and NSUs have been demanding their unconditional release.
