Bangladeshi information minister calls on PM

KATHMANDU: Bangladeshi Minister for Information Hasanul Haq Inu has called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar in the Capital today.

Issues related to mutual benefit and bilateral ties were discussed in the meeting, it is learnt.

PM's foreign affairs advisor Gopal Khanal informed that the two held discussions on cooperation in different developmental projects as both countries were working keeping development and prosperity of their people at the centre.

On the occasion, PM Oli expressed belief that bilateral trade would be strengthened after the operation of the Singhbad-Rohanpur and Phulbari-Banglabanda routes as it was agreed with India during PM Oli's recent India visit.

PM Oli urged Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to invest in Nepal as environment for the purpose was appropriate.

Similarly, Bangladeshi Minister Inu said that the prosperity and the development of Nepal was the wish of Bangladesh. He added that the Bangladeshi Entrepreneurs were willing to invest in Nepal's hydro sectors.

Minister Inu had proposed to exchange information and news in collaboration between Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) of Nepal and Bangladesh Sangbad Samiti (BSS) of Bangladesh.

PM Oli was positive in this regard.

Also present on the occasion was Bangladeshi Ambassador to Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams, among others.
