Kathmandu, June 17 :

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, KP Sharma Oli, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, Karel De Gucht, in Brussels, yesterday.

The Belgium Foreign Minister welcomed the political changes and expressed Belgium’s support to new democracy in Nepal. According to the Nepalese Embassy in Brussels, Oli thanked the government and the people of Belgium for their clear, strong and open support to the democratic movement of Nepal.

He underlined the immediate need of international support for rehabilitation and reconstruction. He requested Belgium to include Nepal in their list of priority countries for development assistance and for more scholarships for Nepalese students.
