• UPDATE-  PM Dahal asks UML to put off Mechi-Mahakali campaign

KATHMANDU: Top leaders of major three parties -- Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN Maoist Centre -- are holding a meeting at the Prime Minister's residence.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal invited the leaders of the major parties to review the political situation in the country in the wake of Monday's fatal incident in Saptari district.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and other leaders are present in the meeting.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Dahal held a meeting with the United Democratic Madhesi Front leaders.
