Big III meet before task forces' meeting

KATHMANDU: Top leaders of three major political parties - Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist - held a meeting on Monday before a meeting of task forces of the parties and the protesting United Democratic Madhesi Front.

According to the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's press advisor, the meeting was held at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar to finalise agendas which would be discussed with the protesting alliance later this evening.

The three-member task force of the parties is scheduled to hold a meeting with the UDMF task force today.

Of late, leaders have been claiming that they were inching closer to some agreement on their differences over the recently promulgated Constitution.

They have been claiming that preparations are underway to sign a deal before the Parliament meeting called for tomorrow.
