Bijukchhe for preserving historical artifact
BHAKTAPUR:Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party president Narayan Man Bijukchhe today urged the Department of Archaeology to preserve historical richness of the country, saying that it was fast being destroyed.
Releasing a book Bhaktapur ko Rajkulo written by Pandit Bhola Nath Poudel here today, said, “Some people tried to destroy our history in the past. Therefore we need to study our richness and preserve it.” He also said he used to see some unidentified people deleting inscriptions from stone spouts when he was very young.
“We can find a lot of information about Nepal’s historical facts in some Chinese books. I request the authorities concerned to study those books and collect necessary information,” he added.
Guha Nath Poudel, editor and publisher of the book, said that they had already written about ten books related to nation’s history and archaeology. “The government should be serious in preserving our historical artifact, as they are fast being destroyed,” Poudel added.
