KATHMANDU: A pedestrian succumbed to injuries after being hit by a bike in Babarmahal in the Capital on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Ajay Tandukar (24).

The incident occurred when Tandukar, who was crossing the road, was hit by the bike (Ba 71 Pa 1662) at around 7:45 pm yesterday.

Critically injured in the accident, he breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Bir Hospital, New Road.

Police have impounded the two-wheeler and arrested its rider for further investigation.
