Bir doctors strike enters Day VII
KATHMANDU: The indefinite stir of resident doctors at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) entered its seventh day today.
The doctors have been halting all their works except emergencies. Dr Arbin Joshi, spokesperson, Resident’s Association, NAMS warned that they would boycott all the works including the emergencies if the government continued to lend a deaf ear to their demand.
The vice-chancellor of NAMS had twice called them for talks but to no avail. They demand among other things, a provision for free treatment of resident doctors and cabin.
