Blasts in ward offices, two hurt

Bhaktapur, March 31:

Maoist suspects blasted bombs at three ward offices of Bhaktapur Municipality this morning.

According to police, the explosions have damaged the buildings of Ward Nos 12, 15 and 16.

The explosions occurred at 10:35 am. Binod Kumar Khadka, an office employee and peon Purna Bahadur Labaju, who were wounded in the blast at Ward No 12 office, have been released after treatment at Bhaktapur hospital.

Ward No 12 has estimated its loss at Rs 100,000, Ward No 16 at Rs 50,000 while Ward No 15 has lost property worth Rs 60,000, the police said.DSP Raju Manandhar has informed that security has been beefed up in the district.He said that two people who were arrested in this connection have been released after investigations.
