‘Blockade at border points will end soon’
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli on Friday said that the unofficial blockade imposed by India at customs checkpoints would end soon.
At a greeting exchange programme organised in the capital by All Nepal Women Association to mark Nepali women’s cultural festival, ‘Jitiya 2072’, leader Oli said that the border embargo would come to an end soon through the means of dialogue. “No need to worry.
The friendly relations between Nepal and India would grow further,” he added.
As per the special agreement among the political parties, they would carry out the post-earthquake reconstruction and address the concerns of the agitating parties after forming a national government soon, he said.
Oli claimed that the constitutional guarantee of 33 per cent women participation in all state mechanisms and 40 per cent women at local bodies is a significant development.
