Boost to alternative forms of medicine

Bhaktapur, October 6:

Bhaktapur Homeopathic Medical College is going to launch a three-year course with the aim of promoting alternative forms of medicine.

The programme aims to attract students, who do not have the means to obtain expensive degrees on allopathic medicines.

The course aims to develop and promote homeopathy as an alternative to expensive allopathic treatment, hospital management committee chief Rabindra Puri said.

The course will enroll 20 students, including 10 from poor families based in remote areas.

The 10 students will get full scholarship sponsored by the European Homeopathy Organisation.

Scholarship applications will have to be backed by recommendations from respective Village Development Committees, hospital management committee chief Rabindra Puri said.
