Kathmandu, October 17:

With a view to making people aware of the significance of condom use, the 14th National Condom Day is going to be celebrated throughout the country tomorrow with the slogan of ‘Access to Condom: Double Safety of HIV/AIDS Control and Child Spacing’.

The day, celebrated every year, has helped to raise awareness of condom use among the people and its use among the common people has worked a milestone in not only controlling birth rate but also preventing spread of sexually transmitted diseases like HIV. The information was disseminated at a press conference organised by the Nepal Red Cross Society and Nepal Health Journalists’ Association here today. More than 70 organisations working in HIV/AIDS, family planning and health sectors actively take part in celebrating the day.
