KATHMANDU: A 61-year-old woman died after she sustained injuries in a road accident in Bungamati, Karyabinayak Municipality-11 of Lalitpur district on Wednesday.

Sukumaya Tamang from Nakhkhudol-2 had sustained serious injuries after a truck (Ba 2 Kha 8185) hit a scooter (Ba 38 Pa 2820), she was riding pillion on, near the Bungamati Buspak yesterday.

She had breathed her last while being rushed to the Patan Hospital.

Meanwhile, police impounded both the vehicles; and arrested the truck driver and the bike rider for further investigation.
