Burglars detained red-handed from Naikap

KATHMANDU: Three accused burglars were arrested while they were into the action in a house in Naikap of Kathmandu on Tuesday night.

Police said the suspects were held from the house of Shree Shrestha at Tinthana, Naikap in Chandragiri Municipality-22 last night.

Police identified the arrested as Suresh Lama (19) from Naubise-6 of Dhading, Chaturman Tamang (22) of Dharke-7 and Suresh Maharjan (24) of Dhikure-4 in Nuwakot district.

The burglars had broken into the house by breaking the padlock of the main gate.

When the owner Shrestha detected the burglars in his room, he latched the door from outside and informed the law enforcers, police said.

Then, a team from the Metropolitan Police Sector, Balambu, arrived to arrest the burglars.

Police have been investigating into the case.
