CA court order to EC on broken seal case

Kathmandu, August 3:

The Constituent Assembly Court today ordered the Election Office Dadeldhura and Election Commission to clarify about the broken seal of ballot boxes found in Dadeldhura constituency. Former PM Sher Bahadur Deuba was elected Constituent Assembly member from Dadeldhura constituency.

A three-member bench of Justices Anup Raj Sharma, Top Bahadur Magar and Ram Kumar Prasad Shah issued the order.

The bench told authorities to clarify how the seal was broken.

The bench also told them to produce the form No 8 prepared during the course of vote counting.

The bench was considering the case after Maoist candidate Khagaraj Bhatta challenged Deuba’s election.
