Cabinet meeting ends

KATHMANDU: The government urged the UCPN-Maoist to conduct peaceful protests during their agitation programme on Wednesday.

Speaking to journalists after the cabinet meeting in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, Shankar Pokharel said that the government decided to dissolve the Hetauda Cloth Industry and form a three-member probe led by former justice Krishna Prasad Basyal on the Achham incident where a policewoman was raped by her colleagues. He informed that Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal briefed the political party leaders on the talks earlier. He further added that it has decided to hold a dialogue to open the disrupted Legislative- Parliament.
