Kathmandu, February 12:

The National Coalition for Children as Zone of Peace (NCCZOP) has requested political parties and the government to uphold child rights and keep children away from political activities.

In a press release issued here today, the NCCZOP expressed concern over the violation of child rights during political activities, referring to the mass meet of the Maoists starting from February 13. The NCCZOP has demanded the parties concerned leave schools and children away from such activities and allow them to pursue education and engage in regular activities freely.
