KATHMANDU: Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Constituent Assembly recommended that the Ministry of Finance stop the airbus purchase bid of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) on Monday.

According to PAC chairman Ram Krishana Yadav, the meeting decided to turn down the NAC's proposal for the airbus purchase reasoning that the bid is against the current Public Purchase Act and regulation. He informed that the PAC directed the NAC to cancel the current bid and return the advance amount of Rs 5 crores to the stakeholders for the purchase of two airbuses for the NAC.
