Nine join UCPN-M

Kathmandu :Former assistant minister and central committee member of Nepali Congress Hari Shankar Pariyar today joined the Unified CPN-Maoist. UCPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ welcomed nine new entrants in his party including Pariyar amid a function at the party headquarters in Paris Danda today.

Those who joined the Maoists include former district education

officer Bal Bahadur Pariyar and

former regional member of Nepal Workers and Peasant Party Chakraman Biswokarma.

Kathmandu: Charchit Vyaktitwa or ‘Popular Personalities’, a collection of essays, authored by journalist and writer Byakul Pathak chronicling 21 famous persons of the year 2065 BS, was released here today. Author Pathak made a stinging satire on press advisors of party leaders, who he said avoided meeting him. However, he said the success was within his grasp as he somehow managed to get their views compiled. Pathak’s personalities of the year are over a dozen people, including President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, UCPN-M chair Prachanda, Speaker Subas Nembang, NC Prez GP Koirala and UMLchair Jhala Nath Khanal.
