Tiger cub found

KATHMANDU: A tiger cub was found in a jungle near the Bishworupa Temple at the Pashupati-Bankali area on Saturday. The cub was rescued and handed over to the District Forest Office later in the day. However, further details of the cub was sketchy .

Ranibari probe on

KATHMANDU: The police on Saturday said they were mobilising all available resources to track down assailants who shot at Nagender K Pampati, managing director, Bharatpur Medical College, recently. Two unidentified assailants in a motorcycle had fired a bullet aiming at him in front of his rented house at Ranibari on Tuesday evening. Pampati had escaped unhurt. Five days after the shootout, the assailants are still at large. "We are inching closer to nab the culprits and will bring them to book as soon as possible," said SP Ganesh KC, in-charge, Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka.

Pashupatinath CCTV

KATHMANDU: In a bid to check suspicious activities in the Pashupatinath Temple premises, PADT is all set to install CCTV cameras by Sunday. "We will fix at least two by Sunday," said Nahata. "One camera will be installed at the Office of the Secretariat and another at the main gate of the Pashupatinath shrine," he said, adding. "The cameras will be gradually installed in different locations of the area where necessary."
