KATHMANDU: A youth who allegedly snatched a gold chain off a woman’s neck from a microbus station in Bhrikutimandap of Kathmandu has been arrested on Thursday.

The suspect has been identified as Khadak Jung Shahi (22) of Pina-2 in Mugu district, currently residing in Kapan of Kathmandu Valley.

Shahi who was absconding after snatching the 1.5-tola chain was caught by a team of police deployed from the Singhadurbar-based Metropolitan Police Circle along with the gold chain.

Police said the necessary investigation is being carried out.
