KATHMANDU:  Chief Justice Sushila Karki visited President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Sheetal Niwas in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu on Sunday evening.

Chief Justice Karki formally invited President Bhandari to attend a function going to be held on the occasion of the Law Day on May 9, President's media expert Madhav Sharma said.

The duo also discussed Nepal's contemporary issues yesterday.

CJ Karki on Friday evening returned to the Supreme Court to resume her office after the impeachment motion moved against her was stayed by an interim order.

Lawmakers of ruling Nepali Congress and CPN Maoist Centre had filed the impeachment motion against CJ on April 30.
