Child protection policy ready
KATHMANDU: Central Child Welfare Board has prepared Child Protection Policy that chalks out the roles and responsibilities of the state and stakeholders to protect children from different kinds of violence. The policy is in tune with the Child Act and United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Children that Nepal is signatory to, said Dharma Raj Shrestha,
executive director of CCWB. The policy focuses on ending all kinds of discrimination and violence against children, said Shrestha. “This is a gui-deline how children should be treated by the concerned bodies,” he added.
