Chinese Vice-premier Wang arriving today

Kathmandu, August 13

A high level delegation led by Vice-premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yang, is arriving tomorrow on a four-day official visit to Nepal.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Wang and his delegation is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Bijay Kumar Gachhadar on Tuesday.

The Chinese Vice-premier will also attend the opening ceremony of the Basantapur Durbar Restoration Project on August 15.

He will call on President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on August 16. Wang and his team will also visit the National Ayurveda Research and Training Centre in Kirtipur the same day.

The Vice-premier led delegation will return to Beijing on August 17, according to the MoFA.
