CIAA files corruption case against former DoTM Director Chandra Man Shrestha

KATHMANDU: Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority filed a graft case against the former  Department of Transport Management Director General Chandra Man Shrestha at the Special Court on Wednesday.

The anti-graft body accused Shrestha of abusing his powers to amass illegal property worth Rs 13.4 million and appropriating it to his family members, stock market and foreign trips among others.

Given that, CIAA asked the court to seize Shrestha's property and initiate legal proceedings into the matter. And the anti-graft body has sought Rs 13.4 million in compensation from the accused.
