The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today ordered the Department of Industry (DoI) and the Department of Cottage Industry (DoCI) to follow the working guidelines formulated recently.

"There is an urgent need to follow the directives in order to combat corruption there" Surya Nath Upadhayay, chief commissioner of the CIAA, said. Upadhayay was delivering a speech. "If the departments and the offices under them do not follow the guidelines they will face CIAA actions," Upadhayay said.

Director General of DoI Bharat Bahadur Thapa,and Director General of (DoCI) Tej Raj Shakya today submitted the directives to the CIAA.

The CIAA had asked them to prepare the guidelines to manage the working guidelines in the government offices. The CIAA had ordered all the ministries and the government offices to formulate such guidelines within April 12.
