Kathmandu, August 13:
The Civic Movement for Democracy and Peace (CMDP) has announced that it will hold its third public protest against continued regression on Tuesday at Basantapur. The members of civil society led by Dr Devendra Raj Pandey, Dr Mathura Prasad Shrestha and Krishna Pahadi, will light lanterns in broad daylight, and music will be played for half-an-hour while maintaining silence. Speakers will put forth their views on inclusive democracy. The protesters
will recite poems and exhibit cartoons by Rajesh KC, Vatsayan, Ramesh Bista, Basu Tsitij and Avin. The CMDP will release a detailed programme on Sunday.
