KATHMANDU: Clean Up Nepal is organising its third Annual Nationwide Cleanup Campaign on September 19 with the slogan ‘Our Place, Our Planet, Our Responsibility’. In order to promote this event and to encourage participation throughout the country, Clean up Nepal organised a press meet in the capital on Sunday to highlight the details of the cleanup campaign, including its objectives, and ways for individuals and organisations to participate.

This year, the nationwide cleanup will be held on 19 September from 7am to 11am as part of the ‘Clean Up the World’ global campaign. Various personalities and organisations like Rajesh Hamal, Paras Khadka, Sagar Thapa, Anil Shah, ENGAGE, Rabi Lamichhane, Kalanidhi Devkota and Jo Hill have endorsed the Clean up Nepal 2015 Annual Nationwide Cleanup Campaign, it said.

At the press briefing, Rajesh Hamal spoke about the need for mankind to create a balance with the natural ecosystem in the context of the consumerism driven societies of today.
