Climate change meet

KATHMANDU: The three-day-long Young Environmentalist Conference organised by Sano Sansar Initiative to raise youth’s voice, mobilise them on climate action and to strengthen their network concluded on Sunday.

As many as 60 young environmentalists involved in environment science, agriculture, law, bio technology, micro biology, forestry and social sectors from 30 districts participated in the conference.

The conference highlighted on the importance of youth’s role in mitigating the effects of climate change.

Aspects of climate change like causes, impacts and threats in Nepal as well as adaptation and resilience methods were discussed during the conference.

All the participants pledged to do their best to save the environment.

The conference was facilitated by International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, WWF and NTNC.
