CN Pandey elected Chairperson of NATTA

KATHMANDU: CN Pandey has been elected the Chairperson of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA).

Pandey won the elections by only six votes against his close contender, Dipendra Kumar Sharma, according to the vote count results that was made public this morning.

Out of the total 420 votes cast, Pandey secured 212 votes while Sharma got 206 votes.

Also a new working committee was elected for the next term after the 51st Annual General Meeting of NATTA.

Office-bearers elected in the new committee are Achyut Sharma Guragain (First Vice-chairperson), Sangeeta Jirel (Second Vice-chairperson), Ramesh Thapa (General Secretary), Sabita Bhattarai (Secretary), Ram Prasad Shrestha (Treasurer), and Surendra Bhattarai (Co-treasurer).

Likewise, members elected in the committee are Sudarshan Nepal, Dewaki Gurung, Furi Gyaljeng Sherpa, Amrit Kumar Dhakal, Ramesh Poudel, Raju Dhakal, Inu Thapa and Geeta Dhakal, member of the election committee Rajendra Prasad Sapkota informed Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

NATTA – that was established 50 years ago – has its regional offices in Bhadrapur, Pokhara and Dhangadi, and district office in Palpa.
