CoAS returns home
KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri on Saturday returned home after a week-long visit to India. Leading a nine-member delegation, General Chhetri had left for New Delhi on Sunday. During his visit, he received the title of honorary general of the Indian Army from India’s President Pranab Mukherjee and met with India’s top government and security officials, including ministers for home and Defence and chiefs of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. During these meetings, he discussed bilateral security issues, including safety of border areas, which had become more vulnerable due to prolonged border blockade.
