Con man arrested

Kathmandu, March 22:

Police nabbed a con man who had duped dozens of businesspersons. Arjun Bhatta, 34, of Mhepi in Kathmandu, conned traders into giving him 42 laptops identifying himself as an employee of UNDP, DFID, USAID or American Embassy with fake names. Bhatta was arrested on Friday.

According to police inspector Krishna Prasad Koirala at the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Bhatta was arrested, along with a Toyota car, seven laptops, one LCD monitor, one CPU, one keyboard, a camera and three number plates. Bhatta had even duped a cameraman of Nepal 1, a television channel, and taken a movie camera from him.
