KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested two traders on charge of cooking gas black marketing on Friday.

A youth was arrested for his alleged involvement in hoarding cooking gas cylinders from Kuslechaur of KMC-17.

Police nabbed Bharat Karki (26) of Pogati-5 of Dolakha district. After receiving a tip-off, a police team deployed from Lainchaur-based Metropolitian Police Circle discovered 35 filled cylinders of Himal gas as well as 4 empty cylinders.

In other incident, a trader has been arrested from Lokanthali of Madyapur Thimi Municipality-16 of Bhaktapur on Friday.

Local trader Krishnlal Dangol (37) was arrested.

Earlier, Dangol who had brought 150 filled cylinders of Baba gas had sold each at Rs 4,200, police revealed.

Police said they have launched an investigation into the cases.
