Cops thrash journos

Kathmandu, August 14:

National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ) today accused police deployed to control Tibetan agitators of intentionally thrashing photo journalists.

Issuing a press statement, NFPJ has condemned the police for beating up the photo journalists.

According to NFPJ, Sundar Shrestha of Nepal Samacharpatra, Sabin Tuladhar of Gorkhapatra and Sunil Pradhan of Rajdhani, who are also members of the NFPJ, were thrashed even after they showed their Identity cards.

The release issued by Vice-President of NFPJ Udipt Singh Kshetri has demanded an end to such activities and immediate action against the guilty.
