KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 200,000 was gutted in a fire in Thasikhel of Lalitpur on Friday.

The Sudesh and Sandesh Cosmetic Shop, owned by Radhika Paudel, in Thasikhel, LSMC-5 had caught fire due to an electronic short circuit, police said.

The fire had destroyed various cosmetic products at the store.

A fire brigade assisted by locals and police had doused the fire.

Further investigation is underway.
