KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 10

Kathmandu valley recorded as many as 65 new cases of the coronavirus infection, on Wednesday.

Of the newly infected persons, 29 are females while 36 are males.

Kathmandu district alone witnessed 55 cases of Covid-19. Lalitpur reported four new cases while Bhaktapur logged six cases, today. At present, there are 1,081 active coronavirus cases in Kathmandu while number of the same in Lalitpur is 24 and that in Bhaktapur is 18.

500 people have succumbed to the contagion in Kathmandu while 163 fatalities have been reported dead in Lalitpur and 115 in Bhaktapur, so far.

Meanwhile, total number of people that have recovered from the disease in Kathmandu is 100,394 while 15,929 people have recovered in Lalitpur, and 9,124 in Bhaktapur.

Today, 134 new cases of Covid-19 surfaced in the country following which the nationwide Covid-19 tally has reached 272,349.

The nationwide death-toll remains 2,047 with no fatalities reported today.

Kathmandu is the only district with over 500 active cases in the country. On the contrary, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Mustang, Rukum West, Mugu and Achham are the seven districts with zero live infections.
