CPN-M demands release of arrested cadres
KATHMANDU: The Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist demanded that its cadres arrested during a protest on Saturday from the Capital be released at the earliest.
A press statement issued by the party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal informs that more than a dozen cadres of parties involved in its alliance were arrested for making public statements against the draft of new constitution in various places of the Kathmandu Valley today.
The arrest violated citizens’ fundamental right to hold peaceful protests, the party argued.
“Our party condemns the government move,” Bhusal said.
