Rs 5 lakh looted
KATHMANDU: Four unidentified persons looted Rs 500,000 from Bimala Baidhya, a resident of KMC-18, Chhetrapati, on Sunday morning. According to the police the looters made away with the money after threatening her by showing a Khukuri. Police is hunting the culprits. —HNS
BHAKTAPUR: Subhadra Bishankhu (42) of Katunje VDC-6 of Bhaktapur died on Sunday while undergoing treatment. She was taken to Bhaktapur hospital in unconscious state after consuming an unidentified poisonous substance on Friday.—HNS
4 hurt in attacks
LALITPUR: Three persons working at the Pagoda Carpet Factory in Lalitpur were injured after one of their colleague attacked them with khukuri on Saturday evening. All the three injured were taken to Patan Hospital. Among the three Ram Krishna Neupane (26) is said to be in critical condition. Police has arrested the culprit Ho Bahadur Gurung of Nawalparasi.
Similarly, Surrendra Baniya, a resident of KMC-29, was seriously injured when Bijaya lama and his friend attacked him by a khukuri on Sunday. Both the attackers are still at large while Baniya is receiving treatment at Nepal Medical College in critical condition.—HNS
