Six arrested

KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday night arrested six persons on charges of possessing arms and indulging in hooliganism. Police said Ram Krishna Khatiwada, 24, Chhiring Sherpa, 24, and Lok Bahadur Thapa, 27 were arrested from Thamel for hooliganism, while Rajan Katuwal, 18, Dambar Thokkar, 22, and Hiraratna Pahadi, 23, were caught with arms at Baneshwor chowk. — HNS

Property looted

KATHMANDU: A group of unidentified persons made away with Rs 4,000 in cash, two tolas of gold and other valuables from the house of Shahi Kanta Dahal at Kapan on Tuesday night. Property worth 90,000 was stolen from the house of Kamal Gautam at Koteshwor height on Wednesday morning. Unidentified persons made away with Rs 25,000 in cash, 10 tolas of gold, a digital camera and other valuables from the house, the police said. — HNS
