Crime watch : Two arrested for robbery

The crime investigation branch of the valley police arrested two persons on charge of robbing a taxi driver at Mahadevsthan in Koteshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-35. "The Valley Crime Investigation Branch (VCIB) arrested Ashwin Dahal, 21, and Kush Karki, 26, for their involvement in stabbing and robbing Krishna Bahadur Bhujel, a taxi driver," Binod Singh, Superintendent of Police at the VCIB, said. Dahal hails from Triyuga VDC of Udaypur district and presently resides at Balkot-2 in Bhaktapur whereas Karki is a permanent resident of Kabilas-6, Nuwakot, and stays at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16. According to police, a group of five persons asked the taxi driver (number plate Ba 1 Ja 2875) to take them to Mahadevsthan in Koteshwor. Upon reaching the destination, they asked the driver to take them to Jhodulepul where they stabbed him and took away his money and jewellery worth Rs 54,500. Police said the search is on to nab Deepak Rana of Kavre, Padam Shrestha of Bhaktapur and Gopal Shrestha of Chitwan.
