Dahal-Oli discuss cabinet reshuffle

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal have recently discussed reshuffling of the Cabinet.

Apprising the mediapersons present at Biratnagar Airport of the recent development, Dahal stated that the chairman duo are considering changes in the Council of Ministers. "We are looking at efficiency, contribution, among other factors, in order to make these changes," Dahal added.

Regarding the voices of dissent within the party on the recent 11-point agreement between the government and CK Raut, Dahal said that an intra-party discussion must be held in order to address these questions and the dissatisfaction arising thereof.

Leaders in opposition and even a few ruling party leaders have expressed that they have been alerted by the recent developments, especially after CK Raut's supporters openly chanted Free Madhes slogans openly on the day following the agreement.

Raut had agreed to renounce secessionist drive while agreeing to adopt democratic means to address issues.
