KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday urged the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, to help resume supplies of goods across the Nepal-India border.

According to the party, Rae had called on Dahal in the Capital this afternoon.

"Chairman Prachanda told Rae that he wished for an early end of the blockade," the party said in a statement after the meeting, "Rae also expressed that he wished for solution to the problem."
